I've never really considered myself an artist. Art is an expression of the heart. It's full of emotions, and moods, and soul. Graphic design is an expression of a company, its goals & story - its identity. It's about clearly presenting what an organization does, where it's been, and where it's going. It's keeping things simple, organized, and clear. Sure, there can be some beauty and soul in that (and I strive for that), but the end goal is clarity over emotion.
